Boondocks banned in NY papers
Tuesday, October 16th, 2001It’s been 21 years since the flap over Doonesbury and Reagan’s brain. So I was surprised to see that a few newspapers recently yanked or moved several Boondocks strips where characters voiced opinions that would be more clichÈ than controversial here in San Francisco. Funny thing is, Aaron McGruder’s strips are more factual and less mean-spirited than Trudeau’s jabs at Reagan were. The Boondocks series starts here on Sep 24.
