Will anthrax kill paper mail? Of course not.

Amy Sims at Fox News called me for this story about the anthrax scare’s effect on the adoption of electronic mail and billing. If you’ve ever tried to rescue an important document from a mangled email folder full of attachments, you know how robust and interoperative paper is by comparison - something the Time and Bits people and others have focused on.

For all the talk about “rich media,” paper is way ahead of Flash on a lot of features. Every time I get a greeting card with a handwritten note from my family 3000 miles away, I’m glad they haven’t switched to sending e-greeting cards.
