I was going to put together a list of sites for following the war, but Slate intern Avi Zenilman has already done a great job. See The War on the Web, which includes Salam Pax’s Dear Raed weblog from Baghdad.

And could Barry Diller have picked a better day to resign from Vivendi Universal Entertainment and still stay out of the news? Frank Rose’s article about him in the April Wired (it’ll be online next week) reads even better in hindsight. Unlike the slow-motion unraveling of AOL Time Warner, the expected sell-off of VUE is a more concise statement that media moguls no longer expect “synergy” by merging interactive services with traditional entertainment titles. Diller’s summary judgement on Vivendi’s VUNet division: “Oh, please. Say goodnight, Gracie.”
