Paul Boutin is a conservative, who works professionally as a tech writer, and often sounds off here about politics.
My wife thought I should ask him to remove the entry. But I pointed out that I wasn't nearly so bothered as if he'd listed me as a liberal blogger, in which case it would already be down. So maybe he's right, at least by San Francisco standards (in our recent mayoral election, there were posters equating Gavin Newsom, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and George Bush - I guess the drugs are still good out here).
Honestly, it was far more troubling to be called a tech writer. This explains the sudden influx of job offers to write reference documentation for enterprise middleware application servers.
UPDATE: David at AOP emailed me that he'll change "tech writer" to "magazine writer" at my request. The rest is fine with me. What a sweetie.

| Weekend off to a good start |

(a) The Party Car was fun. No cops, no complaints. No one gave me a lecture about The Media. Hopefully this will become a weekly event. "Whose BART? Our BART!" the Party Car crowd chanted. Which is true: It's a tax-funded government agency, not a private corporation as some mistakenly assume.
(b) I'm Feedster's feed of the day. Awww. Hi Scott and Betsy.

If you live in San Francisco and missed last week's BART Party Car (NY Times article, TechTV video), it's on again for tonight - here are the directions. Now that the reporters have come and gone, will the Party Car be met by BART cops? By real cops? Worst of all, by an 11 o'clock news crew? Whatever happens, it's legal to come down and find out. Or you can skip it and tell your friends the Party Car is so last week.
