Chuck Yerkes - we’ll miss him
Friday, August 27th, 2004Unix hotshot Chuck Yerkes was thought to have survived a collision between his beloved motorbike and a car last week, but I learned this morning that he died of his injuries. Chuck was the unnamed sysadmin I took to a bar to help with my first Slate article. I’m at a loss for further words. Chuck was the kind of earnest, lovable techie I always wished I could be. We’re all just shocked.
