Finnish monster-rockers set Eurovision record
“Hell has frozen over,” one Finnish newspaper proclaimed after phone and text message votes from 38 countries gave self-proclaimed “monsters of rock” Lordi an unprecedented 292 votes. The band swept the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with their anthem “Hard Rock Hallelujah.”
